While I am a Colorado native, I have lived and practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Houston for the past 8 years. Throughout my training I have worked with a variety of populations including young mothers, couples, and families. I specialize in working with clients with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and difficult family relationships. I believe that in order for therapy to be effective there has to be a strong relationship between me and my clients. Therefore, I aim to create a comfortable, judgment free alliance that is characterized by openness and total honesty. I tend to be a very practical person, and I bring that approach into therapy. It is important to me to provide my clients with practical tools to address the issues in their lives. This is also why I love to add the nutrition coaching piece into treatment goals to provide practical whole-body focused tools. My goal is for my clients to leave our last session feeling confident that they have the tools they need to handle any situation.
In addition to being a therapist I am also a wife and mother. I enjoy traveling with my family, watching Netflix, and baking cupcakes. I look forward to getting to know you more and working with you to meet your counseling needs!
